Aurora Guillen
Program Coordinator
I have never had to face anything that could overwhelm the native optimism and stubborn perseverance I was blessed with.
-Honorable Justice Sonia Maria Sotomayor
Aurora Guillen was born and raised in Napa. She attended Napa Valley College and received her Associate of Arts in Political Science in 2020. She then transferred to the University of California, Davis where she earned a Bachelor's in Political Science with a minor in Chicanx Studies. Her achievements can be accredited to the support she received from her family, mentors, teachers, professors, and friends. Additionally, being the daughter of two immigrants has motivated Aurora to pursue a lifestyle of service to the immigrant community. Her main goal in life is to become an immigration attorney and during her gap years, she plans to rest, spend time with her family, and prepare for the law school admissions process. While at Puertas Abiertas, Aurora looks forward to supporting the Napa community that she grew up with.
