Community Announcement: Executive Director Search Update for Puertas Abiertas

Dear Puertas Abiertas Community,
The Puertas Abiertas Board of Directors is delighted to share a significant and exciting step forward in our search for a new Executive Director.
Following a comprehensive review process, the Board has selected Stacy Nelson and Associates (SNA) to lead this critical search. SNA is a highly-regarded firm with a proven track record in executive placement, including most recently leading the successful Executive Director search for the Cope Family Center in Napa. We are confident that their expertise and dedication will help us find the ideal leader for our organization.
Interim Leadership
We are also pleased to announce that our Director of Operations and Administration, Esmeralda ‘Esme’ Gil, will continue to serve as the Interim Executive Director until the position is filled. Esme will ensure continuity in our operations and programming, and we are grateful for her leadership during this transition.
Introducing the Executive Director Search Committee
A dedicated committee of committed leaders has been selected to guide this process. They will play an essential role in reviewing candidates and making a final recommendation to the Board of Directors:

Search Timeline
The search process is anticipated to span approximately 3–4 months. The general phases are outlined below, with specific details determined by the Search Committee and SNA:

Offer, Verification, and Onboarding: April – May
Please note that the final candidate's start date will also include a 30-day notice period from their previous employer.
